Video Resume Project
Reflection
1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create this project in Cap Cut. Use complete sentences. Try to recall as many of the different tools, shapes, and keyboard commands as possible.
I started this project by first writing my script, I started with my intro and then wrote about what I have done in high school. After I wrote about what I have done in high school I wrote about my skills and experiences, followed by my outro. Once I wrote my script, I recorded my A-roll which were video clips of me reading my script. After recording the A-Roll I recorded my B-roll which consisted of me checking the oil level of a car, working on Adobe Illustrator, and working on Adobe Photoshop. After I had recorded all of my video clips, I uploaded them to Capcut where I added them to the video timeline and then cut out certain portions of the video where errors were made. After that, I added captions to certain sections of the video and added the B-roll on top of the A-roll. After I finished editing both my A-roll and B-roll clips, I added background music to my video which was the "Mii Channel Theme". Once I finished my Video Resume I clicked the export button and exported the video as an unlisted YouTube video.
2. How does a video resume differ from a paper resume
A video resume differs from a paper resume because it is created in a video format while a paper resume is written on paper. Another difference between a video resume and a paper resume is that it is more creative and is often more engaging with your employer as it can visually demonstrates your skills.
3. How might you use your video resume in the future and how would you update it to further help you
I might use my video resume in the future to apply for a job, I would update it to further help me by adding more examples of my skills and experiences so that it makes me look more competitive in the workforce.
4. Based on the learning target, "Prepare Video Resume Portfolios created for a variety of purposes and applications appropriate for 21st century sector opportunities by producing a storyboard, script, audio and video clips then combining them in Adobe Premiere” What level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding) Why do you think so? Make sure to provide specific evidence.
Based on the learning target, I think my project demonstrates "meeting the learning target" because it meets all of the requirements of the project which were to use one video clip of A-roll, three clips of B-roll, four to six captions, background music, and transitions, however, I feel that my project lacks that complexity to demonstrate "exceeding the learning target". For this reason, I think my project demonstrates "meeting the learning target"
